THE PATIENT’S HOSPITAL SAFETY GUIDE
A mobile app, available from the App Store and Google Play, that can help hospital patients protect themselves, and their families and advocates protect them, from being injured or killed by a preventable medical error, the 3rd leading cause of death. Preventable errors happen in all hospitals every day but not enough is being done to stop them from occurring.
This app was developed in co-operation with leading medical professionals and patient safety experts.

An incident reporting system for patients, their families, and advocates. The public will have full access to search all incident reports. Inquiries are invited.

APRA supports patient safety advocates through our Coalition for Patient Safety.
SAVING PATIENTS’ HOMES
A program to help people who are threatened with bankruptcy because of their hospital bills.
SAFE PATIENT PROJECT
Community and business organization initiatives designed to inform and educate people about how to protect themselves from preventable harm. Hospital initiatives designed to improve patient safety with the goal of reducing the number of preventable injuries and deaths. Inquiries are invited.
- Communities and Businesses
This program promotes and facilitates dialogues with communities and businesses about hospital patient safety. The purpose is to reduce preventable patient harm by raising awareness and educating people about how to protect themselves from preventable harm while in a hospital.
APRA partners with hospitals to reduce the number of deaths due to preventable medical errors by identifying and facilitating the implementation of best practices to achieve a transformation in patient safety and fair medical treatment.
