What is my gift used for?

100% of your gift goes towards APRA’s efforts to fight for your right to receive safe, fair and honest healthcare by: informing about the serious patient rights and safety issues in our healthcare system and the detrimental effects on our citizens and nation; educating about ways to avoid becoming a victim; developing reasonable solutions and agitating for change so that people will no longer need to fear risking their life, health or savings because of preventable medical errors, neglect, abuse, incompetence or fraud when they seek medical treatment.

Is my online donation secure?
Yes. The security and confidentiality of your information is our highest priority. Online donations are processed through Paypal, an extremely secure payment gateway, using industry-standard SSL (secure socket layer) technology to protect your information and provide a safe and secure online environment for donations. We will not sell, trade or share your personal information to any third party, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations, and we will only share personal information if you have given us specific permission to do so.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes contributions and donations to APRA are deductible as a charitable donation for tax purposes.

Do I get a receipt?
A donation receipt will be sent to you at the email address you provide on the donation form or your address from your mail-in donation for tax purposes at the beginning of the year. If you select a recurring donation, you will be sent an individual receipt each month when your donation is processed.
